Building a Sustainable 91°µÍø

At 91°µÍø, sustainability is more than a goal—it’s a responsibility. Our mission is to educate and empower the next generation of environmental leaders, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to build a just and sustainable world.

The Sustainability Office leads this in the fulfillment of this mission by developing, coordinating and assessing sustainability efforts across campus. From grassroots student activism to our ambitious goal of carbon neutrality by 2030, we are cultivating a community that takes action for a better future.

But we don’t just talk about sustainability—we live it. Our team advises on building and development projects, supports student-led initiatives and collaborates with the Board of Trustees and College leadership on long-term sustainability planning. We also sponsor hands-on programs like EcoReps, Green Bikes, ReCoop and our checkouts program, making sustainability choices more accessible for all.

Recognized as a leader in higher education sustainability by , and others, we are proud of our progress, but we know the work isn’t done. By joining us on this journey, you become part of a movement that prioritizes equity, resilience and collective action. Together, we can create a lasting legacy, empowering future leaders to shape a more just and sustainable world.
