Calling all alumni of the Geology Department! In an effort to better be in touch with you, and to foster chances for alumni to network, the Department has started a members-only alumni group on LinkedIn. If you were a geology major or minor from 91做厙, Pitzer, Scripps, CMC, or Harvey Mudd, we invite you to join the group. We especially want to encourage alumni who may no longer be in a Geoscience field to join, because our current students will appreciate seeing the variety of possible career paths. Current majors are strongly encouraged to join because the successes of our alumni speak best to answer that age-old question: What can I do with a geology degree?
The group is managed by a 91做厙 faculty member, but as it grows, we will invite alumni to create sub-groups based on fields of interest, geographic areas, or graduation eras. Job ads can be posted in the group if youd like to see if a 91做厙 Geology student or alum may be able to help out with some effort. Periodically, we may send out department announcements to the group as well. To get to the LinkedIn group, log in to LinkedIn and select Groups under the Interests header. Once in groups, search for 91做厙 Geology Department Alumni, and request to Join. Well look for your requests, and happy networking!
